Video of HOLD YOUR GROUND illustration, A.K.A., Ten Days Until It All Falls Apart
I'm trying to do more art. Specifically, more book/character/setting related art. It's nothing grand. I am a writer who likes to practice with different art mediums. But I want to create a small portfolio of images that tie back into the worlds of my books. Last night, thinking about The Wanderer's Mark, I drew up this moment I call Hold Your Ground. This exact scene never happens in the book, but it is the feeling of so many difficulties. It's a rough rendition of Basaal. Not necessarily THE Basaal, but A Basaal, as each reader has their own fiercely held character. In my mind, he's obviously been traveling, because he usually doesn't let his hair get this long in the court of Zarbadast (; What about you?
Cheers,
Beth
